Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I don't know anything
about lacrosse. What is it?
A: Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports on the youth level
in America. It combines the speed and quickness of soccer with the scoring
and action of hockey. US Lacrosse, which is the governing body for all
levels of lacrosse, has a great web site that can explain more in depth
the game itself- www.uslacrosse.org
Q: Are there injuries
in the sport of lacrosse?
A: Lacrosse is generally a safe sport at the youth level. As with any
sport there are inherent risks associated with participation. Our 2nd
Grade program will use a controlled checking format, but there will
be no body checking. We want to introduce the game to your son in an
open environment where he can find out if it's a sport he would like
to pursue.
Q: Can my son play both
Baseball and Lacrosse?
A: Only you can decide. Your 2nd grade lacrosse committment will generally
be 2-3 days per week with games possibly played on Saturday or Sunday.
Practices will be held on week nights. We will try to work with the
baseball club on avoiding scheduling conflicts.
